James W. Walsh is the Clinical Director at New Beginnings Integrated Healthcare and provides professional counseling and consulting services. He has 30 years’ experience in human services, with experience in many aspects of the field. He has held positions in the provision of services. for the intellectually disabled as a program specialist. In the mental health area, he worked as a lead therapist, director of a family-based program, clinical coordinator, mobile therapist, and behavioral consultant for curriculum development. He was commended for his work in winning regional accreditation for one of the first non-traditional schools. He chaired an Autism Council and served on the State Roundtable for Facilitated Communication. He is the author of two books and two dissertations and holds a Ph.D. in psychology and Christian counseling and another in executive leadership. Moreover, he was elected mayor of the town he grew up in (Palo Alto, Pa.) and served in the U.S. Coast Guard for one year overseas and three years stateside.
